Producer, composer, songwriter, Montreal Canada’s Xarah Dion is becoming a key player in the minimal wave scene. Surrounded by analog synthesizers, Dion creates an innovative style with her personal melodic, rhythmic and arrangement signatures. Her debut album “Le Mal Nécessaire” (released on Zodiaque Musique) brought her to Europe in 2015 as touring support for Godspeed You! Black Emperor, now Xarah returns to promote her second album “Fugitive”, newly released on Visage Musique.
Roxy Agogo are a new three piece from Glasgow, playing what they call “weird-wave bastard-rock”, a fusion of disonant guitars and electronics with industrial overtones.
SOFT RIOT is JJD; a former Vancouverite now residing in Glasgow. His sound is an amalgamation of synthesiser-based film soundtracks, romantic italo-style flourishes, throbbing arpeggiations and angular, psychedelic synth-pop. With three full-length albums and a clutch of EPs and cassettes released, he’s toured Europe, the UK, Canada and America numerous times. With JJD now calling Glasgow his home, he will begin work on his next full-length album, to be released on Possession Records.
